Editor's note: This article has been updated following the release of revised information from the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department regarding the number of deaths.
San Luis Obispo County is reporting the deaths of four more people who had COVID-19.
Public health officials say one of the patients was between the ages of 30 and 49-years-old, and the others were between the ages of 70 and 100.
San Luis Obispo County has had 140 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
The county also added 127 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the county's total to 16,056 confirmed cases as of January 20.
It's the lowest number of daily cases since the start of the year. In a Wednesday afternoon press conference, SLO County Public Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein said that while the county was starting to see lower numbers of new cases, they are still very high compared to the spring and summer.
She added that nearly a quarter of all of the county's cases have happened in the past 14 days.
Health officials say 55 people are hospitalized. Another 2,398 people are recovering at home and health officials say 13,429 people have recovered.
San Luis Obispo County is reporting that 18 of the 38 licensed and staffed ICU beds in the county are currently occupied. Seven of them are taken by COVID-19 patients.

The location of 84 additional cases is under investigation, and another nine are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.
Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach, and Nipomo.
