2 injured in fight at Santa Barbara vacation rental

Detectives are investigating a large fight that left two people injured at a Santa Barbara home.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and medics responded at about 12:45 a.m. Monday after receiving a 911 call of the fight on the 2000 block of N. San Marcos Road.

The sheriff’s office says the home was a vacation rental and the two people injured were attacked with some type of weapon.

They were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries and officials say they are expected to recover.

Due to the ongoing investigation, the sheriff’s office says additional information, including details of the fight, the type of weapon used and suspect identity are being withheld at this time.

Forensics technicians are assisting with the investigation.
