Paso PD search for man in home burglary case

Paso Robles Police Department is searching for a burglar who authorities say broke into a home on Thursday.

According to a press release, Jose Armando Montes Guillen, 20, was inside a home on the 1200 block of Katherine Court when the homeowner returned.

Guillen, who was later identified by surveillance video, was found in the homeowner’s bedroom with a black backpack full of the victim’s belongings. He fled out of an open bedroom window.

Police said Guillen lives in the same area and is believed to be responsible for additional burglaries within the neighborhood.

He is Hispanic, 5’11”, 240 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Guillen is known to frequent local motels in San Luis Obispo County.
