A portion of Monterey Street in San Luis Obispo was closed to traffic Friday morning due to a reported gas leak.
San Luis Obispo police were asking people to stay away from the 1800 block of Monterey Street near The Inn at San Luis Obispo while crews were on scene.
Monterey Street from Grand Avenue to Garfield Street was closed but was back open by 4 p.m.
The cause of the gas leak is being investigated.
