The San Luis Obispo Regional Hazardous Material Response Team conducted a HAZMAT drill in Pismo Beach Wednesday.
CAL FIRE SLO Public Information Officer Chris Elms says crews used the Addie Street parking lot and worked on the beach near that area.
The training lasted from 9 a.m. to noon and included members from fire departments throughout the county.
Elms says the response team uses different areas throughout the county each month to train.
Crews wore protective gear and decontamination suits during the drill.
