Arroyo Grande woman does not enter plea for vandalism charges

An Arroyo Grande woman charged with felony vandalism for putting brown paint on Jim Hill for mayor campaign signs appeared in court on Monday morning.

Patricia Welsh was in court for the first time since being charged for vandalism.

Welsh did not enter a plea during her court session.

According to a search warrant, “Welsh has a history of vandalism to private property and is a very vocal critic of Hill.”

A total of 11 signs were vandalized in nine different locations.

Her next court appearance will be on December 17th at 8:30 a.m.
