California Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night.

CHP says the crash happened at around 9:45 p.m. on the Salinas River Bridge on Templeton Road.

Officials say a Chevy truck and a Ford Mustang collided while driving on the bridge.

Officers say it appears the driver of the Chevy may have crossed the double yellow line crashing into the Ford Mustang. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

There were two people inside the Mustang and officials say the driver suffered a minor head injury.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
