Police arrest Santa Barbara armed robbery suspects

Three people were arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Santa Barbara Sunday night, according to police.

Santa Barbara police are not releasing much information at this time, but did say officers responded at about 7:45 p.m. to reports of the robbery where a gun was reportedly pointed at the victim.

Dispatch was able to give officers a detailed description of the suspects who police say were detained in the area within minutes.

One person who tried to run away was found with a loaded .380 semi-automatic handgun, according to police.

The names of the suspects or location of the robbery have not yet been released.

ARMED ROBBERY ARREST On 03/03/2019 at 7:47PM, Santa Barbara PD officers responded to a call of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The robbery involved 2 suspects who pointed a firearm at the victim. SBPD dispatchers provided a detailed description of the suspects to the responding officers. Within minutes, officers detained the suspects in the area. One of the suspects attempted to flee on foot, but was quickly apprehended. This subject was found to be in possession of a loaded .380 semi-automatic handgun. A thorough investigation was completed which resulted in the arrest of 3 suspects for a variety of charges including 211PC, Armed Robbery.
