Construction is beginning at Arroyo Grande High School using funds from Measure I.

The measure allows schools in the Lucia Mar Unified School District to upgrade their facilities.

The bonds will provide funding to renovate classrooms and provide technology for students to meet admission standards.

At AGHS on Thursday, a large crane moved the school’s new music building into place.

Administrators say the new facilities will allow students to connect beyond the walls of the classroom.

“They’ll have the opportunity to connect with other musicians worldwide with this infrastructure that we have in place,” said Cindy Naber, Executive Director of Facilities for the Lucia Mar Unified School District.
