The SLO Film Fest put South Africa in the spotlight for the 14th Annual Surf Nite in SLO.
Friday night was the California premiere of Satori. Director Rick Wall and Co-Producer Rod Torr appeared at the premiere at Fremont Theatre.
The film is shot in black and white and focuses on big wave surfers in a small town in South Africa.
The film focuses on the surfers and the reasons why they love riding the waves and the feeling that they get while they are surfing.
Director Rick Wall spoke about his excitement coming to the central coast saying, “It’s super exciting for me cause the people here and the way that they look at surfing and the way that they love surfing is exactly like home.”
The creators say the film will be available online very soon.
