A heads up for drivers – six miles of Highway 41 near the “Y” intersection will be repaved starting this week.
Caltrans crews will begin the maintenance project Tuesday. The stretch of highway undergoing repairs is from north of the “Y” intersection in SLO County toward Kettleman City, to just south of the SLO/Kern County line.
The first phase of the project will be done Tuesday through Thursday. The second phase is slated for Monday, April 8 through Thursday, April 11. Crews are scheduled to complete the final phase on April 15-16.
There will be one-way reversing traffic control from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on construction days.
The roadwork is expected to cause delays of up to 30 minutes. Drivers are asked to consider taking Highways 46 or 33 as an alternate route during construction.
