Doc Burnstein’s Ice Cream Lab is celebrating the grand opening of the Matthew Will Memorial Medical Center in Arroyo Grande in a big way today.
The local business is providing a giant ice cream sandwich for the family-friendly event, similar to the one served on Marta and Snoop’s Pot Luck Dinner Party on VH1 last September.
The new medical center is a part of Dignity Health’s Arroyo Grande Community Hospital system. It will house Dignity Health Lab and offers a variety of medical services for patients.
According to a press release, Doc Burnstein’s emphasizes the importance of creating experiences for local causes.
The ice cream company donates 10% of its profits annually to community causes and in-store sponsored “Fun-draisers,” wellness programs and tuition assistance for its employees.
