Chef Rick’s Ultimately Fine Foods is now open in Orcutt at the former location of “The Jetty Restaurant”.
Rick Manson closed his original restaurant when he left to work as a chef at the Far Western Tavern in Orcutt.
Now, he says friends and family have helped and encouraged him to open this new restaurant.
“As we re-open this restaurant I’m reminded what a journey life is and I’ve been through a journey like everyone goes through a journey, but the gathering of friends and family that have helped open this has been overwhelming. It’s touched me to no end,” Manson said.
Rick Manson decided that Chef Rick’s Ultimately Fine Foods would still have the same feel as his original restaurant, which opened in 1989, but mentioned the food has progressed.
From rotating the classic favorite dishes to adding a vegan choice menu, Manson hopes to provide the Santa Maria Valley a place to enjoy a great meal.
The new restaurant is open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. but Chef Rick hopes to expand his restaurant’s closing hours to 9 or 10 p.m., allowing customers the option of a dinner menu.
