The Arroyo Grande Police Department arrested Alexander Lemay, 41, on Wednesday, May 29, after a report of a fraudulent check at Bank of America.
Police say Lemay attempted to pass a counterfeit check and was in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia.
According to police, Lemay is also suspected of attempting to pass a counterfeit check on May 23 at the Pacific Western Bank in Arroyo Grande.
Lemay was taken into custody and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of passing counterfeit checks, committing a felony while out on bail, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
