Santa Maria led a city-wide compliance operation on Wednesday, May 29, for sex offenders living in the city.
With help from state parole officers and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, eleven sex offenders were contacted, interviewed, and searched.
Santa Maria police say after discovering several parole violations, five arrests were made. They say one sex offender was found in possession of child pornography.
The offender was arrested and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of possession of child pornography and violation of parole.
