San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Thursday who they say fled from law enforcement twice this week.

Daniel Jay Romo, 25, of Paso Robles was wanted for probation violations.

He was first spotted Tuesday in the area of Templeton Middle School. Despite an extensive search, deputies were unable to locate him.

On Thursday, sheriff’s officials say Romo was spotted in the Whitley Gardens area. Deputies reportedly responded to a home where Romo was believed to be hiding and sheriff’s officials say Romo ran away again.

The sheriff’s office says he was eventually captured and taken into custody near the 500 block of N. Almond Dr.

He is currently in custody at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
