There is a new exhibit now open at the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art.

Guests can find selected works by Cuesta College Printmaking students in the display.

The display is organized by the Central Coast Printmakers (CCP), who are one of six artist groups affiliated with the Museum.

Cuesta College’s printmaking professor, Marcia Harvey says, “The students of Cuesta’s printmaking courses create prints with a uniquely local view of what is happening in the world of printmaking. Students are given complete autonomy regarding subject matter and content.”

Organizers say the art on display represents a wide range of imagery and perspectives.

“They appreciate the fact that Cuesta College has a printing press and the facilities to make etchings of all sorts of types of prints,” Interim Executive Director of SLOMA Rita Saliklis says of guests viewing the exhibit, “it’s the only printing press on the central coast.”

The exhibit will be on display through the end of June.
