Jaws of Life used to free driver in crash near Lompoc

Two people were injured Wednesday in a crash near Lompoc.

It happened just before 11:30 a.m. on Harris Grade Rd. near Onstott Rd.

Two vehicles were involved.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the male driver of one of the vehicles suffered minor injuries. The female driver of the other car had moderate injuries and firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free her from the wreckage.

She was reportedly taken to the hospital for treatment.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
