A suspected drug dealer was arrested this week in Paso Robles.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says surveillance on a home in the 1800 block of Park St. revealed multiple narcotics transactions.

On Wednesday evening, the suspect, identified as 55-year-old Leonel Zavala Sanchez, was seen leaving the home and a deputy reportedly conducted a traffic stop.

Sheriff’s officials say the deputy found approximately one pound of methamphetamine under the driver’s seat of the vehicle Sanchez was driving.

The sheriff’s office says a search of Sanchez’s home also revealed evidence consistent with the sales of narcotics, including a scale, a ledger used to record transactions, and an additional seven grams of meth.

Sanchez was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of transporting a controlled substance for sale and possession of a controlled substance for sale.
