The former Cookie Crock Warehouse grocery store in Morro Bay could soon be home to a discount store.
Morro Bay Community Development Director Scot Graham says the building owner has submitted plans for a Dollar Tree/Family Dollar at that location.
Graham expects a building permit to be issued in the next 6 to 8 weeks.
Cookie Crock closed its store in the 400 block of Quintana Rd. at the end of April. The Cookie Crock in Cambria remains open.
There is currently a Dollar Tree store in the 700 block of Quintana Rd. It’s unclear what will happen to that location.
