A street resurfacing project is now underway in Santa Maria.

Drivers may experience short delays on various city streets during the annual work, which includes the removal of existing striping, the placement of a surface seal and then re-striping.

Impacted streets include: Miller Street from McCoy to Stowell Road, Palisades Drive from Main (Highway 135) to Suey, Seaward Drive/Canyon Drive from Magellan to Donovan Avenue, and Alvin Avenue from Broadway (Highway 166) to Railroad Avenue.

Some neighborhood streets will also be affected.

Parking will not be allowed in areas where work is being done.

Work on the $1.8 million project is expected to last through mid-October.
