A local photographer is making sure graduating students can always remember their accomplishments, despite the pandemic canceling commencement ceremonies.
With COVID-19 causing schools to call off graduation ceremonies, many graduates may miss out on wearing the cap and gown they worked so hard to earn.
Dennis Swanson owns Studio 101 West Photography in Atascadero. When he learned his daughter would not have a traditional college graduation, he came up with an idea to preserve the momentous occasion.
During the first week of June, when most graduation ceremonies would have taken place, Swanson is offering free cap and gown photoshoots to any 2020 graduate.
"It's just my way of trying to ease the pain of all those kids that have worked so hard to graduate," Swanson told KSBY.
