Due to concerns over the coronavirus (COVID-19), California State Parks is temporarily suspending all tours at Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument, effective Monday, March 16.

While Hearst Castle has not been directly impacted by COVID-19, State Parks said in a statement that their team is closely monitoring the situation and is committed to following the state's policy on social gatherings to help slow the spread of the virus.

Hearst Castle will honor day tours already in place for Saturday and Sunday for visitors who already have their tour reservations. Saturday's evening tours, however, have been canceled.

The group tour numbers for this weekend will be reduced to accommodate the recommended social distancing set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Walk-in tour tickets will not be sold this weekend.

In addition, full refunds will be made available for those who choose to cancel their tours this weekend.

Hearst Castle's visitor center, including food service and gift shop currently remains open seven days a week.

Future tour reservations will automatically be canceled and a full refund will be given to reservation holders.

If you have any additional questions regarding the tours, you can call the Customer Service line at 1-800-444-4445.
