A Cambria man faces criminal charges for a crash near Ragged Point that injured two people Sunday night.

Zackary Boswell, 42, was arrested after the crash for alleged drunk driving, according to an incident report from the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP report states that Boswell was driving a Polaris Ranger 700 on State Route 1 south of Ragged Point around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

There were two passengers in the front seat as well as two others in the bed of the vehicle.

The vehicle veered off the road and rolled down a 30-ft embankment, causing all five occupants to be ejected, according to CHP.

The vehicle landed in the northbound lane of SR 1.

None of the vehicle's occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and three of the occupants, including Boswell, were injured.

Boswell and one 33-year-old male passenger suffered major injuries, according to the report, while a 36-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries.

Cal Fire crews responded and helped transport the victims to the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center via ambulance.

Boswell was arrested at the hospital for alleged felony DUI causing injuries.
