The continued closure of Highway 154 due to the Cave Fire means Cold Spring Tavern may not be able to open in time for Thanksgiving.
The historic restaurant had expected to serve 300 dinners between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Thursday.
"If we can open and do a small opening tomorrow, be open for limited hours, we will discount the dinners and serve the locals any first responders that are still around," said Cold Spring Tavern General Manager Donna Mudge.
The tavern did not suffer any damage in the fire.
