Crashes slowing Hwy 101 traffic in San Luis Obispo

Two crashes on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo and another in Arroyo Grande were backing up traffic late Friday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle reportedly spun out, rolled and landed in the center divider at around 4:21 p.m. in the northbound lanes near the Higuera Street offramp.

Just a few minutes later, a two-vehicle crash was reported in the northbound lanes near the San Luis Bay Drive offramp.

At about 4:36 p.m., CHP reported a pickup towing a trailer jack-knifed and was fully blocking one northbound lane of traffic and partially blocking the second near the Traffic Way offramp in Arroyo Grande.

No word on the extent of any injuries.
