UPDATE (3:14 p.m.) - Caltrans says a SigAlert has been issued for the area. The lane closure is now expected to last until 4 p.m.

ORIGINAL STORY: Drivers should expect some delays if heading southbound on Highway 101 in Carpinteria Monday afternoon.

Caltrans says one southbound lane is expected to be closed until about 2 p.m. for emergency drainage work in the area.

The closure affects the area from Reynolds Avenue to the Linden Avenue overcrossing.

People are reminded to drive carefully through work zones.
