The Santa Maria boys soccer team hosted second round action on Thursday afternoon, but La Habra's Tanner Coombs spoiled the occasion with a hat trick as the Conquistadors shut out the Saints, 3-0.
The Saints trailed by a goal at halftime, but Coombs was in the right place at the right time after a corner kick led to a scrum in front of the net, allowing the senior to flick home in his second goal of the game.
A penalty kick completed the hat trick for Coombs, ending the Saints' playoff run.
