Drivers in Santa Barbara County can expect delays as Caltrans begins Highway 101 maintenance work this week

Caltrans wants drivers to be aware of scheduled maintenance work beginning in Santa Barbara County this week.

On Tuesday, August 6th, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., crews will be performing weed abatement work on the left lane of southbound Highway 101. Fairview Ave. to Patterson Ave. will be closed during this time.

The right lane of southbound US 101 will also be closed from the Mission Street Undercrossing to the Junipero Street Pedestrian Overpass on Thursday, August 8th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Maintenance crews will be tree trimming and performing vegetation control there.

Caltrans wants to remind drivers to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
