An inmate reportedly walked away from the Satellite Prison Camp in Lompoc on Saturday.
Prison officials say Daniel Diaz, 27, was discovered missing at about 10:20 p.m. on Dec. 21.
Anyone with information about Diaz's whereabouts is urged to contact the United States Marshals Service at (213) 894-2485.
Diaz is described as 5'11" tall and 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
He was serving a 120 month sentence for methamphetamine sales in Iowa.
The Satellite Prison Camp is a minimum security facility that houses 506 male inmates. Prison officials say local law enforcement was notified of Diaz's escape and an internal investigation was initiated.
