Kayakers floating on oars rescued near Pismo Beach

Two kayakers are now safe after being rescued from the water near Pismo Beach.

CAL FIRE SLO said the call came in Thursday afternoon for the area near Dinosaur Caves Park.

Lifeguard rescue swimmers were sent out to help the kayakers, who were floating on oars, fire officials said.

The Harbor Patrol arrived a short time later to pick them up.

CAL FIRE SLO says the kayakers were not injured.

Their kayaks were also brought back to shore.
