Booker lived up to his name after helping police book a man suspected of selling drugs in Paso Robles
According to the Paso Robles Police Department, probation officers from Paso and San Luis Obispo conducted a traffic stop Tuesday night along the 1000 block of Veronica.
Lowell Henslin, a passenger in the car, appeared under the influence and was arrested, police said.
Atascadero State Hospital's K-9 Booker alerted police to a suspicious box inside the vehicle.
Inside the box was about 5 ounces of meth, 7 grams of heroin, a scale, packaging material, cash, and a pill capsule containing an unknown powder, the Facebook post stated. Henslin was arrested for drug sales.
"We thank Booker, his handler, and our LE partners for helping get these deadly drugs off the street," Paso police stated.
