The man convicted of murdering his mother in Grover Beach was sentenced Wednesday morning to life behind bars without the possibility of parole.
A San Luis Obispo County jury in October found Levente Lazar, 27, guilty of first-degree murder and two other enhancements.
His mother, Athena Valentiny, 64, was found dead in her home on South 9th Street in October of 2018.
Prosecutors say Lazar killed his mother for financial gain.
