A minor has been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at the beginning of the week in Lompoc.
Police say due to the suspect’s age, no other information related to his arrest will be released.
The announcement of the arrest comes a day after Lompoc policereleased surveillance footage of the person they say tried to rob a woman in the Glen Ellen neighborhood on the north/west side of town Monday morning.
The woman told KSBY News she was on her front porch when a man walked up and asked to use her phone to call his mom. She told him her phone was on the charger. The woman said the man started to leave, then turned around and pulled out a gun.
Police say the man demanded money, but ran off after she told him she didn't have any and screamed.
The woman was not injured.
