Morro Bay Transit has announced a change to its service during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The transit service will begin limiting the number of riders on the bus.

Effective immediately, no more than 4 passengers will be allowed in a vehicle at a time.

The move is in order to practice social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

No changes are being made to the schedule.

Beginning March 23, Morro Bay Transit started to provide free bus service. The said its hope was to provide lifeline transport services for those in need that may have been economically impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
