The Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services says no one was hurt when a small plane landed on the main runway at the Paso Robles Airport with its landing gear retracted.

It happened at about 1:45 p.m. on Friday.

The pilot of the single-engine Piper aircraft was the only person in the plane at the time of the accident.

The airport's main runway was closed for about an hour while crews worked to remove the aircraft.
