UPDATE: Amber Alert canceled after Paso Robles boy found safe

UPDATE (7:41 p.m.) - According to the San Luis Obispo Police Department, Ami Magana was officially arrested by Paso Robles Police.

According to SLO Police, Magana was located near Monterey Street and Highway 101.

A press release issued by the Paso Robles Police Department says Benz Magana was found with Ami at the Lexington Inn which is located near Highway 101 & Monterey Street on Garfield Street.

It is unclear if they were at the hotel or in the vehicle when located by police.

The hotel has recently changed names from Lexington Inn to Hotel Buena Vista.

(6:21 p.m.) - The California Highway Patrol reports that the boy has been found and is safe.

An Amber Alert that was issued for the 4-year-old has been deactivated.

(5:53 p.m.) - The Paso Robles Police Department says a young boy who was abducted by his mother who does not have custody of the child.

The woman, identified as Ami Magana, 47, reportedly took the 4-year-old from a preschool in Paso Robles on Thursday afternoon.

Police say staff members at Rainbow Bright Christian Learning Center immediately called police after Magana took off with the boy without permission.

Magana was last known to be driving a white Nissan Sentra rental car with a license plate number of 8HZZ682.

Police believe she was traveling south, possibly to Victorville.

Magana is described as 5'4" tall and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue and white dress.

Her son, Benz Magana-Davis, is 3'2" tall and 30 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt, green camo shorts, and black shoes.

Police say she lives in Arkansas.
