A proposed mixed-use condo building in Pismo Beach is now on hold.

On Tuesday night, the Pismo Beach Planning Commission voted 3 to 2 to deny the more than 20,000-square foot project that would include residential units, restaurant space and retail space on Price Street.

The developers of the project say it's likely they will appeal the denial to the city council.

It's unclear at this time when that may appear on a council agenda.
