It reportedly happened Friday shortly before 4 p.m. on the 1500 block of S. Broadway.

Police say the victim told officers he was approached by a man who pulled out a gun from his waistband, pointed it at him and demanded money.

The victim reportedly complied and after taking the money, the robber ran off, police say.

No injuries were reported.

Police have not released a description of the alleged robber but did release a photo and are asking the public for help identifying him.

Anyone with information is asked to call the SMPD detective bureau at (805) 928-3781.
