Residents in northern San Luis Obispo County might smell smoke this week.
CAL FIRE is conducting a three-day prescribed burn near Camp Roberts.
Starting Wednesday, crews will be working to burn about 1,200 acres of grass.
The burn is designed to teach firefighters how to use ignition tools and equipment as well as new techniques and strategies.
