Local escape room Puzzle Effect in San Luis Obispo is being extra cautious about the coronavirus.
Puzzle Effect features maze-like problem solving challenges for people daily. Staff has been sanitizing each room before and after people use them.
They are also requiring customers to sanitize their hands -- before and after events -- to help guarantee cleanliness.
"I think that the best thing we can do in these situations is prepare," said Puzzle Effect manager Kristyn Lorentzen. "And that's exactly what we've done here; and I've done it as well myself. It's just the extra preparation of making sure that you are constantly cleaning things -- and we're doing the same thing here."
Puzzle Effect says it's always had these precautions to help ensure safety, but now they're taking extra care to double down on sanitization.
