Santa Barbara Co. reports 87 new cases of COVID-19, no additional deaths

Local health officials are reporting 87 more COVID-19 cases in Santa Barbara County, Sunday.

There are no additional COVID-19 deaths.

More than 80 people are hospitalized,19 of those patients are in the ICU.

The county has reported more than 31,000 cases.

Nearly 400 people in the county have died from the virus so far.

Multiple free community coronavirus testing sites are open in Santa Maria, Lompoc, Buellton, Santa Barbara, and Goleta.

Walk-in only testing is available at the Isla Vista Theater from noon to 5 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Santa Barbara County is currently vaccinating health care workers and residents 65 years of age and older. For details on how to make an appointment, click here.
