The Santa Maria Police Department is investigating a carjacking from the 700 block of east Bunny around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police say the victim was sitting in his vehicle when he was approached by a group of males demanding his property.
One suspect reportedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victim.
The suspects took the victims vehicle, identified by police as a white 2002 2-door Honda Civic with black wheels.
Police say some of the suspects fled on foot and while one left in the victim's vehicle.
The victim, who has not been identified by police, was not injured.
