A search is underway in Isla Vista for three men said to be involved in a home-invasion robbery Monday morning.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says the call came in at around 10:22 a.m. for the robbery at a home located on the 6500 block of Sabado Tarde Road. Officials believe the victims were targeted.
Sheriff’s officials say two of the three men were armed with handguns. Two were reportedly wearing all black and ski masks and a third had on a camouflage jacket.
The items taken included two laptops, a cell phone, wallet and marijuana, authorities say, adding there were two people home at the time. They reportedly received minor injuries.
The sheriff’s office says it is getting help from crews on the ground and in the air to locate the men, who officials say are associated with a black newer-model BMW 3 Series with a 6 in the license plate.
No other information was immediately available.
