SLOCO Seniors, a social support group for senior citizens, is celebrating its one year anniversary.
The club focuses on providing a one-hour, positive group setting that features informational seminars, music, and even yoga.
All activities done by the club are directed by its participants.
Organizers say it provides a more positive atmosphere and the members get a lot out of it.
"I think once people come, they would be hooked on it and really get a lot of satisfaction from the information and the comradery between the people who do come," said Simone Levine, Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council.
"We are here for them, so whatever they want us to do, we're happy to do for them," said Cerra Himle, Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center Trauma Registrar.
SLOCO Seniors is free to join.
The group meets on the third Monday of every month at 10 a.m. in the Auditorium at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo.
