San Luis Obispo city leaders announced the cancellation of the annual Gobble Wobble fun run/walk at Laguna Lake.
Organizers with the city's Park and Recreation Department said that instead, they hope to work closely with the SLO Food Bank by asking community members to help support local families in need this Thanksgiving.
The Gobble Wobble usually sees over 500 participants running or walking at the Laguna Lake Golf Course Thanksgiving morning.
Organizers say they hope to continue this fun while helping others during the holiday season.
