SLO restaurants offering special take out deals amid coronavirus restrictions

San Luis Obispo restaurants and cafes have been forced to close down their dining areas due to coronavirus restrictions but loyal customers are doing their part to support their favorite local spots.

On Thursday, Sally Loo's Wholesome Cafe posted a big thank you to customers after to-go sales matched the restaurant's average weekday sales even with half the staff and limited hours of operation.

"Thank you for making it possible for us to stay open for you!!" the restaurant owners posted on its Facebook page.

Many local restaurants are shifting operations over to take out and delivery only and a lot of them are offering special discounts to encourage customers to place orders.

Big Sky Cafe is offering a 15 percent discount on all orders.

Seeds is offering a free wellness shot with every $15 purchase.

Shalimar is offering a 10 percent discount with a SLO Vegan Guide card. (Buffet included)

Novo is offering a dessert special for $5.

Flour House is enticing customers with a 20 percent discount on pick up orders and for delivery orders, the restaurant is offering a 10 percent discount and free delivery.

Breaking Bread SLO is giving customers a free pretzel bun with the purchase of any loaf of bread.

Eureka is offering a 20 percent discount off food orders and 50 percent off bottled and canned beers.

Woodstock's Pizza is offering $5 off any large pizza and free delivery.

The CDC has reported no concerns of virus transmission via food but warns people to exercise caution when interacting with others when picking up food or accepting it from a delivery driver.
