Smoke from a prescribed burn was visible throughout parts of Santa Barbara County Tuesday.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says the range improvement burn involving about 220 acres on the Monighetti Ranch northeast of Lompoc was creating a large column of smoke.
The smoke was said to be visible throughout the central and northern parts of the county.
Air Pollution Control Districts were involved in the planning of the burn.
