Lompoc police reported Wednesday that a man who was wanted for violating his probation on an assault with a deadly weapon charge has been arrested.

Police say Nicholas Joseph Lopez, 27, is a suspect in a shooting and vehicle pursuit that prompted a shelter-in-place order in Vandenberg Village last month.

He had reportedly been on the run since that incident.

No other details about his arrest were immediately released.
