UPDATE (8:35 p.m.) - Santa Barbara County Fire officials say seven people and three vehicles were involved in the crash. All are being treated for injuries. One person was airlifted to Cottage Hospital.

Authorities say a BMW with two occupants was driving eastbound on SR-154 and struck a Toyota Tacoma with four occupants driving westbound.

According to officials, a Jeep with one female occupant driving east came around the corner and hit the other two vehicles. That woman was airlifted via Cal Star 7 to Cottage Hospital in critical condition.

Three people suffered moderate injuries and were transported to Cottage by three different ambulances, authorities say.

Santa Barbara County Fire spokesperson Mike Eliason says three more people sustained minor injuries, were treated on scene and were not transported to the hospital.

Fire officials say traffic was stopped in both directions of SR-154 in order to land Cal Star 7 on the road.

Officials say the roadway should be cleared within the next 30 minutes or so.

It is unclear if drugs or alcohol are a factor in this collision. CHP Buellton is continuing to investigate.
